My mother just said to me last night "that nothing kills a working relationship faster than marriage..."
Turns out sadly, it may be true. Swizz Beatz and wife Mashonda have separated. The couple who were married 4 years ago and had a beautiful son Kassem, Jr. in 2007 are releasing the typical statement about remaining friends:
“Their union was one shared in love and deep admiration for one another. For the last seven months, the two have been working on establishing a formidable friendship , being great parents to their son, and remaining great supporters of each other's careers,” a representative of Swizz Beatz told AllHipHop. “The couple has asked that their privacy be respected at this time.”
I will most certainly respect their privacy, because I could care less about these two. But it's still sad anyway...
