Jay-z celebrated his "alleged" last days of bachelordom on Wednesday night with a private party at a Toronto hotspot called Lobby. Onlookers said he was all smiles and shared shots with his large entourage. One onlooker commented: "It looked like a bachelor party because soon the doors were closed to all but the immediate guests. Jay-Z was laughing and happy and talking to everyone around him. It was amazing how many girls were flirting with him, but he was just being nice to everyone."Jay has alot of stuff to celebrate this week. His "alleged" marriage pending and his superstar/super buck deal with touring giant Live Nation.
NY Post is reporting that insiders are blasting the proposed $150 million dollar mega deal as excessive and warned that the company would most likely have to go deeper into debt to finance any other deals with other big name artists.
The deal one-ups the $120 million the company forked over last year for the rights to Madonna, and comes just days after it locked up the touring rights to superstar rockers U2 for the next 12 years for a reported $70 million.
However critics of the deal point out that Live Nation will have to wait to start making money from much of its investment. Jay still owes Universal one more album and his publishing deal with EMI won't be over for another 2 years among other troubles.
I'm sure it doesn't matter to Jay one damn bit. He got his money upfront. Beyonce's lace front and dress for today probably ate up a large portion of that.
